Wabi-Sabi Welcome

Wabi-Sabi Welcome celebrates coming together, in our homes and in our lives, perfectly imperfect as we are. Julie Pointer Adams’s vision for the book was to convey just a few of the many warm expressions of hospitality that live all over the world. Taking imagery herself in Japan, Denmark, California, France and Italy she honoured the beauty of natural imperfection and a life of chosen simplicity – the very essence of the Japanese concept wabi-sabi. Within the design was a nod to these Japanese origins with placement and formatting of typography and spine detailing.
